Family House Presents: Heart (Function vs. Emotion) by Bodiography Contemporary Ballet

Looking for something to do on Saturday, June 4th?  Don’t miss Heart (function vs. emotion)!  Presented by Family House and performed by Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, all proceeds go to benefit Family House’s Family Assistance Fund.

Bodiography Contemporary Ballet is the region’s premier non-profit contemporary ballet company.  Artistic Director Maria Caruso conceived Heart (function vs. emotion) through eight months of research by sharing the journey of a friend’s heart transplant and obsesrving two other transplants.  Heart (function vs. emotion) seeks to honor the courage of those experiencing heart disease by including real-life heart patients and surgeons, while emphasizing the important of disease prevention and awareness.  For more information about Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, please visit

Proceeds from this event will benefit Family House’s Family Assistance Fund.  Since 1983, Family House has provided a special “home away from home” for more than 120,000 patients and families who seek treatment of serious or life-threatening illnesses in Pittsburgh.  The Family Assistance Fund was created to help families who cannot afford the already-reduced cost of styaing at Family House.  To learn more about Family House, please visit
